Living Gospel

As the early disciples who gathered together automatically when they heard the message of Christ crucified on the cross and were cut to heart, we as a group of believers also came together and devoted ourselves to the study of bible, to the fellowship, to communion, to prayer, and to preaching and living the gospel for the whole life (Acts 2:36-47). Because it is the same God, the same Spirit touching and working through the same people, and the same plan God had even before the creation of the world that everyone who believes in Jesus may have eternal life (John 3:13-21). We came as sinners before God, but when we accepted and believed in him, we were brought near as sons of God (Galatians 3:26-4:7, Ephesians 1:3-10), holy people being made perfect, through Jesus’ blood and by faith in him (1 Peter 2:9-11, Hebrews 10:11-14).

Therefore, we live in this world as who we are, the ones who have a heavenly calling (Hebrews 3:1), to preach the good news of salvation (Mark 16:15-18), to testify Christ living in us (John 15:26-27, 2 Timothy 1:8), and to glorify God who gives us a new life and empower us to live this new life by doing the good works that God prepared us to do (Ephesians 1-2:1-10). This life is new because it is not according to our logic, nor by the principle of this world, but by the revelation of the Spirit and through the power of the Spirit (John 16:5-11, Romans 15:17-20, 2 Timothy 8-12, 1 Peter 4:11).

The same power that enables us to believe in the gospel entrusted to us (Galatians 2:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 2:1-4) and live accordingly also compels us to preach it to you. We believe in the only one God (1 Corinthians 8:4-6) who has control of everything and who will have mercy on his chosen people (Romans 9). So our small church, as the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 14:27-31), as God’s workmanship (Ephesians 2:10), just spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14-16).

As servants of Christ, we follow the commands Jesus gave to his disciples. “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15) and Jesus also said “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14). Our church, a group of sons of God who received this gospel and experienced God and continue to experience his grace, would like to preach this gospel to you.

Words without actions are dead. Preaching gospel includes delivering the gospel message and living the gospel message. Can you imagine that we only confess, praise, worship and preach Jesus Christ as our Lord, savior with lips but without action? Can we then say we are Christian, we are preaching, testifying Him? Jesus told us “Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:6). Living gospel means we really take the Lord as our lords in everyday life as we confess in mouths. He is the master and we are servant. We obey His commands and make decision and take action by putting him in the first place. Scriptures teach us “As you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness.” (Colossians 2:4).

“For God says ‘ In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ It is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” (Corinthians 6:13).

If you are now wondering in this world, looking for real meaning of life and real unconditional love, grab this opportunity to come to know God at the time of God’s favor and the day of salvation. Don’t refuse the touch in your hearts, join our church fellowship and bible study, we are eager to share our great experiences how this only true God works in our church. As David said “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” (Psalms 34:8).

We believe everyone coming to know God is by the power of Holy Spirit. “It is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” (Romans 1:16). We are only vessels used by God to preach gospel to you and you are the one to take action to react to the touch in your heart. The touch is the power of God.

Come and see (John 1:46) the light that shines in the darkness (John 1:5), the one who can change you from water to wine (John 2:1-11), the one who can cleanse you by his word (John 15:3), the living water that whoever drinks will never thirst (John 4:1-13), and the one who can save you to eternity (John 3:13-21) — Jesus Christ. Amen!
